Algebra Embarks on U.S. Tour in Support of Upcoming Album “Recovery”

Algebra 2013

Soul / R&B songstress Algebra Blessett announces a national tour in advance of her forthcoming sophomore album titled Recovery, which will be released on October 29, 2013 on eOne Music/Purpose Music Group/Slim Frances Music. The tour begins in New York at B.B. King’s on September 6th and continues through November. Full dates are below.

The first single, “Nobody But You,” is already top 20 at Urban AC radio. The feel good, mid-tempo ballad, which debuted on earlier this summer, celebrates the joys of being a one-man woman. The video for the track features Algebra’s good friend, celebrity chef and Bravo TV star Roblé Ali as the object of her affections.

Recovery, Algebra Blessett’s follow up to her debut album Purpose, will feature production duties by Kwamé Holland, multi Grammy Award winning songwriter Shannon Sanders and Bryan-Michael Cox, among others.

Algebra Blessett, an Atlanta native, began her career by playing club dates before releasing “Purpose,” in 2008, which included the single “Run and Hide.” The album held steady on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums Charts for 14 weeks. She has collaborated with India.Arie and Esperanza Spalding, winning Grammys for both collaborations, and was featured on Anthony David’s #1 R&B Adult Cotemporary Chart hit, “4evermore.”
