Chrisette Michele to Join Keyshia Cole on “Woman to Woman” Tour; New Album “Better” Due Out in Spring 2013

Grammy Award winning singer Chrisette Michele will join R&B star Keyshia Cole on the “Woman To Woman” tour this spring. The 18-city tour will reach major markets across the US starting on March 28 in Westbury, New York, stopping in cities such as DC, Boston, New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles ending on April 21 in Oakland, CA. Pre-Sale tickets are currently on sale and general tickets go on sale tomorrow, February 23 on Chrisette’s Facebook.

While on tour, Chrisette will perform tracks off her anticipated fourth studio full-length album BETTER out this spring via Motown. The album features production from Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Rihanna), DJ Camper (Drake, R.Kelly), and Ivan and Carvin (Jill Scott, Rick Ross) and guest features from standout hip hop stars Wale and 2Chainz.

“It’s been almost two years since the release of my last record, so I’m just thrilled to be out on tour again to perform new material for my fans and show the new me, “ says Chrisette. “The album is a reflection of my experiences and the changes I have made in my life for the better, hence the title.”

The first single off the album, “A Couple Of Forevers,” premiered by Billboard, claimed Chrisette “hit the high notes for a long-lasting love.” The sultry track, which impacted radio this week, was produced by Andrew “Pop” Wansel & Warren “Oak” Felder (Pop & Oak), who have worked with the likes of Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Chris Brown. The music video for “A Couple Of Forevers,” set for release in the next week, was directed by Derek Blanks in Savannah, Georgia and based off of Chrisette’s experiences while traveling throughout Europe, specifically Paris, featuring her performing live, getting a new tattoo and living her life for the “Better.”

In late 2012, Chrisette released a mixtape entitled “Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation” to hold fans over until the release of Better. The highly regarded mixtape featured guest appearances from Bilal, Robert Glasper and Wale and received coverage from the likes of Okayplayer and Complex. The lead single off the mixtape, “Charades,” has received over 200,000 views for the music video, also directed by Derek Blanks.

Chrisette Michele’s prior full-length releases I Am, which landed her a Grammy Award win for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for her track “Be Ok, and Let Freedom Ring both reached the top 10 of the Billboard R&B chart and her 2009 release Epiphany reached the top of the Billboard Top 200 Chart.”
