With assistance from an Isaac Hayes sample (“The Look Of Love”), Ashanti put together a very powerful song that deals with Domestic Violence. I’ve said this many times, Ashanti’s talents are often overlooked because of how she successful she was early on in her career. She is a better singer than some of the female artists out on the radio right now and actually writes her own music. It will be interesting to see what happens when she returns to music, as the “Ashanti” sound (Singing over Rap Beats) doesn’t really exist on the radio anymore.
