I remember seeing this video for the first time back in the day and thinking ‘Man who is that soulful cat singing and playing piano in the video?’ Turns out it was Dwele who would soon make a name for himself the following year with his debut single “Hold On.” I always liked this song and thought Slum Village is cool, but sometimes it’s fun to look back years later to see where some artists got their start on the main stream.
