Last night in NYC, Leela James performed at the Highline Ballroom in NYC. She certainly brought the soul and the funk on this evening, which she used as an opportunity to pay tribute to legends such as James Brown and Etta James. She didn’t just come out to perform, she came to get everyone on their feet moving, and even demanded the crowd get up and clap with her at one point; to which they obeyed.
