Last night in NYC, Raheem DeVaughn performed for a sold out crowd at BB King’s. Entertaining the audience with an astonishing two hour plus set, once again he proved to us why he’s one of the top performers in r&b right now. Many artists go on stage and respectable job singing for the evening; Raheem seems like he makes it a personal mission to make sure every single fan in the audience leaves entertained. One point during the show he made his way through the whole audience, stopping only to get on the bar to continue his song. Also of note during the evening, he potentially set a record for most panties by females thrown on stage; there were too many to count by the end of the show. He also had artist Demont Peekaso painting a portrait of Aaliyah live on stage to celebrate the anniversary of her passing. In addition to performing hits from throughout his career and a few cover songs of classics, he performed new material from his upcoming project. If Raheem is in your city and you get a chance, this isn’t something you should miss.
