Just a day after celebrating his monumental achievement of earning three Grammy nominations, emerging r&b superstar BJ the Chicago Kid releases the new song “Uncle Marvin” featuring the vocals of the legendary Marvin Gaye. The track actually contains a sample from Marvin Gaye’s song “Cleo’s Apartment” while BJ croons to thanks his woman for her unconditional love.
“Uncle Marvin” concludes what has been an extremely successful 2016 for the R&B / Soul artist, during which he released his album “In My Mind” via Motown Records.
In addition, the singer also had his songs featured in shows such as HBO’s Insecure, ABC’s Quantico and ESPN. Yesterday’s announcement of the Grammy nominations saw BJ receive 3 nods including Best R&B Album, Best R&B Performance and Best Traditional R&B Performance.
