Victor Jackson Would You Be Mine

Atlanta-based R&B/Soul artist, Victor Jackson, knows the feeling all too well and encapsulates the exhilaration of the first date in his newest offering, “Would You Be Mine?”. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the song offers a vulnerable rundown of his past, part triumph and part troubled. The track, produced by LEGEND, features a sample of Estelle’s 2007 hit, “American Boy”, and hypnotizes you with it’s jazz-tinged chord progressions.

Victor, most recognizable for his work as a choreographer and creative director, released his debut EP, Three Decades, last summer. After years of working with artists, from Kandi Burruss and Trina Braxton to August Alsina and Jennifer Hudson, he stepped up to the mic to tell his own story. His melodic tales express the universality of love and how we’re all subject to the ups and downs of what romance brings, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
