‘You Got It Babe’, the third music video from 25 year-old Aussie/Singapore soul-pop-funk musician Dru Chen premieres after its radio drop on LUSH995 (Singapore), JOY949 (Australia) and WFNM (USA). The slow jam features Kimbra drummer Stevie Cat Jnr and guitar/production by Charlie Lim. It was mixed by Prince, K-Ci & JoJo engineer Ian Boxill who described the song as having an “authentic soul feeling blended seamlessly into a pop song, creating something truly amazing.”
The music video features people of all races, genders and orientations coming together in a down-to-earth soulful party atmosphere, complete with live band, soul food and dancing. It was directed by Bianca Milani (Vance Joy, Oscar Key Sung, Alta). Dru’s previous MV ‘Turnaround’ was featured as “Indie Clip of The Week” on ABC Rage TV in Australia and garnered international airplay on KCRW, Double J and 987FM.
