YouKnowIGotSoul.com is proud to introduce our R&B Hall of Fame! The feature was introduced during our March 27th, 2017 podcast, during which we inducted the inaugural set of artists.
For the purpose of this feature, we’ll be voting on a few new artists on each of our weekly podcasts going forward. We’ll then display the results here, to keep track of who’s been voted in to date.
The purpose of the feature is to recognize the greatest artists that r&b has had to offer over the past few decades. We want to spotlight only the best of the best, leaving out those who fall just below this high standard.
Obviously, just because an artist doesn’t get voted in does not mean we think they are bad by any means. Also, we’re operating under the assumption that the greats who had a bulk of their success in the 80’s and earlier (ex. Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Patti Labelle, etc) would already be in.
Without further ado, we present to you The R&B Hall of Fame so far!
3/27/17 – D’Angelo, Trey Songz, Keith Sweat, Alicia Keys, Tyrese, Aaliyah, Dru Hill and Erykah Badu
