Michelyn Cierra, is a Twenty year old Singer / Songwriter who was born in Washington DC and raised in Silver Spring, MD. She discovered music at the tender age of 5. Having grown up in a musical family she was exposed to the art mostly through family members singing in church, and her father, Royce Bouknight, who works in music production and plays the bass. Bouknight, was the first to record a young Michelyn, and that is when Michelyn and her family discovered her gift. The influence of music spoke to her and eventually became her direct medium of expression and her passion. Michelyn Cierra’s goal is to pursue a career in music after she finishes her degree from Bowie State University where she is studying Mass Communications.
