This song has always been a personal favorite of mine, but I’ve always found a few things interesting about the song. First, I’m intrigued by the collaboration with Marc Dorsey (who also appeared on “U Should” from the same album) who seemingly fell off the radar after this collaboration. Next, if you look at the production history of The Neptunes, it was around this time when they departed from their beat machine heavy/studio friendly sound in favor of live instrumentation. In any case, the song blew up and became one of LL’s biggest hits to date.
