Here is a joint off Katharine McPhee’s debut album which surprisingly featured a lot of Pop/R&B music. Not too sure why she decided to switch up her style with her second album because she had a good thing going here.

    She’s probably a “song” artist (like P!nk). She probably also got tired of being called a Britney, Christina and Pussycat Dolls wannabe! lol She’s got a versatile voice…nothing wrong with using it to expand your fan base, to include those that like music other than “modern” pop/R&B.
