Ginuwine returned to B.B. King’s in NYC this past Saturday to perform for his G’s Angels and music lovers alike. He took this opportunity to prove why he’s one of the best entertainers in r&b, performing a set that was anything but typical; and that’s what makes him so special. In fact if you’ve had a chance to meet Ginuwine before, you almost get the feeling like he’s someone who’s at his most comfortable when he’s doing his thing on stage. He started out thanking the audience for supporting him 17 years strong now, and performed one of his first singles “I’ll Do Anything/I’m Sorry”. He followed this up by thanking his partners from TGT, Tyrese and Tank, who he was recently nominated for his first Grammy with. He went on to perform many of his hits including “Stingy” and “Heaven”, and mixed that in with old school favorites like Michael Jackson’s “Lady in My Life” and “Am I Dreaming” by Atlantic Starr. He also proved he’s still got the moves on stage, working it with ease and greeting fans screaming for him in the front row. As you’ll also see in the pictures, he was having a ton of fun out there which came from the energy he was feeding on delivered by his adoring fans. As he closed out the rest of his set with hits spanning his career, it was hard not to reflect on how Ginuwine has solidified himself as a legend in his generation of r&b.
Awww. That’s me he’s grabbing in the fourth to last pic. Such a great performer.
