JoJo’s battle with the music industry over the past decade has been well documented, but the “Mad Love Tour” has proven to be a reminder that there is still a place for her. Last night, JoJo hit the stage at the Vogue Theater in Vancouver to promote her latest album “Mad Love”. The sold out show was a treat for those who have been fans of JoJo since 2004 when she dropped her debut album as she performed “Leave (Get Out)” and acoustic renditions of “Baby It’s You” and “Too Little Too Late”. The concert was also a good opportunity for her to connect with some newer fans as she performed songs from her latest album such as “Music”, “Mad Love” and “Fuck Apologies”. Regardless of whether you were an original fan or a new one, there was no denying her vocals. Her voice left the crowd in awe when she sang songs like “Music” as she poured her heart on the stage. The most remarkable thing about the concert was the growth in JoJo’s voice since her debut as her versatility was in full display from the powerful belting to the high notes that were being hit perfectly. After being gone since 2006, it looks like JoJo is back and this time it’s permanent.
