Hear those ad-libs in the background? If you can’t recognize the voice, that is R.L. from Next. Besides being the front man of Next and launching his own solo career, he also did his part in writing for up and coming artists (See Jaheim).
Although Ideal never really blew up like they could have, I don’t think it’s fair to fault R.L. for this. This catchy uptempo jam was the second single from their debut and only album which was self titled.
