I must say this has been a great couple of months for R&B. New music has dropped and folks are singing their assess off! I wasn’t surprised when The Soul Factory Presents decided to throw their 2 cents in it by hosting an album release concert for Bradd Marquis on Sept 28th. Bradd happens to possess one of the most soulful polished voices I’ve heard in a really long time. So it was no shock to hear that His new single ” Love will find a way ” is in heavy rotation on Sirius XM’s Heart & Soul channel 48. With my curiosity peaked I decided to attend.
When I got to Drom there wasn’t an empty seat in the building! The place was packed with fans, friends and family. The show starts promptly at 8pm. Lamone and Laura Jane warm up the night with their sets. Then Bradd glides to the stage and heats up everything! He may not be signed to a major but you couldn’t tell by his performance! His stage presence was amazing! He engaged the crowd, serenaded the ladies, and made everyone a believer again. A believer in what? A believer that R&B music isn’t DEAD and artists like himself are warriors in this fight to keep it ALIVE!
