To celebrate the release of his 10th album “Double Back: Evolution of R&B”, Joe held a release party at Stage 48 in NYC. Even though he wasn’t scheduled to perform a full set, he couldn’t resist, going through all of his hits for his adoring fans in attendance. In a special moment during the middle of his set, he showed his gratitude for his friends, family, and team, calling them all up on stage and introducing them to the audience before rocking out to “Ride Wit U” with them still on stage. It was also refreshing to hear Joe talk about the goal for the rest of his career to be to inspire people, especially the youth. Well, if he wasn’t aware already, he’s already inspired a whole generation of musicians and r&b lovers.

I have the new album and have been listening to it everyday since I got it. I love hearing the bass guitar in a variety of the songs. Your voice has such a romantic feel, but I can also hear that gospel character. I think you should do a gospel CD.
