Singer JoJo is mourning the loss of her father, and celebrates his life in the emotional new video for “Save My Soul” which she releases on his birthday. The song and the video are one of JoJo’s most artistic expressions, focusing on addiction, something she’s witnessed first hand. She added about the song and video in a statement:

“Save My Soul” is about addiction. Of all kinds. I wanted to convey the feeling of powerlessness I’ve felt in my life in an uncomplicated way and show a range of what it might look like for others who’ve been there.

“Save My Soul” is the final of three videos JoJo has released from her tringle of new singles, following “When Love Hurts” and “Say Love”. In addition, she recently treated fans to the free EP “LoveJo2”. Now that her headlining tour has wrapped up, she’ll be back to working towards her first album on Atlantic Records. which should release later this year.
