Is there any doubting the fact that Amel is one of the most underrated talents in r&b/soul music right now? In fact, it’s been that way for years. Ever since her lead role in Groove Theory, her solo material has never really been given the credit it’s deserved. However, many real fans of music that I’ve spoken to over the years recognize her talent, which is fine because she doesn’t make music tailored to the radio stations. Here’s a song I chose to highlight from her debut album which is easily one of my favorites on a record full of great songs.
