This song really makes you wonder what kind of album “Human” would have been if Brandy didn’t decide to change the direction of the album. This song reminds me of something Mary J. Blige would do, but I guess that makes perfect sense since Johnta Austin (“Be Without You”) did write this joint. Along with that, Eric Hudson does his best B-Cox impression and hooks Brandy up with this killer slow jam beat, accompanied with drums that probably couldn’t knock harder if they wanted to. And what can I say about Brandy? The last 30 seconds of the song shows why Brandy is one of the most underrated R&B singers out there right now.
I also have to give a shout out to my awesome friend Shandel. She feels the same way I do about the track and I love her for that. :)
