Off the top of your head, how many r&b singers can you think of that have not only had long and successful careers, but also managed to maintain a consistent sound throughout? It’s not easy to find many, is it? If you look at the career of Joe, you can make an argument that he has accomplished this. Everybody knows him for the sexy, bedroom bound slow jams that he’s delivered to us since he came out back in 1993. To me though, what really makes Joe stand out among the rest is a song like “I Like Sexy Girls.” The song is nothing groundbreaking by any means, but it’s fun and highly addictive and really shows the man’s versatility within the r&b genre.
