112 is a rare gem by r&b group 112 and while not officially an unreleased song, it certainly is hard to track down. In fact, the song was included on the release of two different CD-singles, almost simultaneously, within the same month of May 1997.
First, it was released as a B-Side on the CD-single to 112’s smash hit “Cupid”, which was the final single from their self titled debut album. Next, it was included on the “I’ll Be Missing You” tribute to Notorious B.I.G. maxi-single, a song to which the group was also featured on. A third song on that maxi-single was “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa” by The Lox, who were also a part of Bad Boy Records at the time.
“Cry On” is a very emotional song, and while we can’t confirm it was meant as a tribute to the Notorious B.I.G. following his passing, it certainly fits the bill.
