I look at this song as one of the biggest turning points of Ciara’s career because it was completely different from what she did on her debut album. Everyone knew Ciara as the Princess of Crunk, but this song was straight up R&B. Though this brought some short term success for Ciara, I think in the long run it ended up hurting her because she stopped doing the type of music that worked well for her.
