Jazmine Sullivan Reality Show

Today, Grammy-nominated R&B recording artist Jazmine Sullivan is excited to announce the second leg of her “Reality Show Tour.” Following a string of sold-out dates in Silver Spring, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Saint Louis, a full month of new performances has been added due to unanimous demand.

The second leg of “Reality Show Tour” kicks off in Houston at House of Blues on April 2, making 17 stops in major markets including New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston and ending in Silver Spring on April 30. Pre-sale tickets begin Thursday, March 19 at 10:00 am and regular tickets go on sale Friday, March 20 at 10:00 am. Tickets can be purchased on her official website: http://www.jazminesullivanmusic.com/tour/.

Jazmine’s “Reality Show Tour” has received an overwhelming response from fans and media with The Philadelphia Inquirer stating, “While music aficionados discuss the future of R&B, Sullivan’s strong, rich vocals and great storytelling prove we need her badly.” The Washington Post describes Jazmine’s vocal performance as “a decadently rich voice that is one of the strongest in R&B.” Pitchfork reviews, “More than any artist, Sullivan encapsulates the breadth of R&B’s emotional range not by riding the margins, but from a proud position at its center.”

With the success of “Forever Don’t Last” on the radio charts, Jazmine is gearing up to release two new singles from the album “Let It Burn” and “Brand New.” Produced by Key Wane For The Win, “Let It Burn,” impacts UAC radio stations across the country today. “Brand New,” produced by DJ Dahi and co-produced by Ben Free, will impact mainstream radio stations in top cities including New York, Philadelphia, Houston and Atlanta to name a few.

After a three-year hiatus from the music business, this past January, Jazmine released her highly anticipated third studio album Reality Show, which included fan favorites “Forever Don’t Last,” “Dumb” featuring Meek Mill and “Mascara.” Reality Show debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart, No. 2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, No. 3 on the Digital Albums chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Top 200.

Reality Show received critical acclaim from countless outlets including Yahoo! Music, ABC News and SPIN, who called Reality Show “Sullivan’s best album to date”. The New York Times writes “Breakups loom throughout the album, all the better for Ms. Sullivan to let loose all the extremes of her voice: tearful, stinging, deep, airborne, velvety, raspy, aching and downright bluesy.” Jazmine serves as the album’s executive producer and is the primary songwriter on all tracks, displaying her lyricism and storytelling ability more so than her first two offerings.

In 2008, Jazmine Sullivan released her debut album Fearless, which featured the chart topping hit singles “Need You Bad” and “Bust Your Windows,” and earned the Philadelphia native seven Grammy nominations including Best New Artist.  Jazmine released her second album, the critically acclaimed Love Me Back in 2010, of which the Associated Press declared as “something amazing” and consequently garnered her an eighth Grammy nomination for “Holding You Down (Goin’ In Circles).”
