The wait for new music from Melanie Fiona grows longer each day. However, she’s keeping her fans entertained via her YouTube channel with a series of mashup covers that show her true talents.
The latest in the series is a blend of Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna’s song “Loyalty”, mixed with her hit single “It Kills Me”. She turns the mash up into a fun acoustic song, sitting outside accompanied by her guitar player.
Melanie Fiona’s last full length album release came in 2012 with her sophomore album “The MF Life”. Since then she’s hinted at new music, including an album called “Awake”, but nothing has come to fruition. We did catch her nearly two years ago performing new material in NYC including singles “I Tried” and “Bite the Bullet”.
She had her first child last year, and that’s obviously become a priority for her.
