Amber Mark Pretty Idea Album Cover

Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer Amber Mark releases her highly anticipated sophomore album, Pretty Idea, out now via Interscope Records. The 10-track project arrives as a bold, sophisticated exploration of love, heartbreak, and self-possession, cementing Mark’s status as a formidable voice in modern R&B and Soul.

Pretty Idea is a tightly focused body of work that evolves the genre-blurring sound introduced on her debut, Three Dimensions Deep. Mark, who writes and produces all her own music, blends nostalgic ’70s and ’80s aesthetics—drawing inspiration from yacht rock and vintage pop—with a futuristic R&B polish. The result is a sound that is both emotionally powerful and irresistibly danceable.

The album’s title gently hints at its core theme: the bittersweet tension between the beautiful fantasy of a relationship and the complicated reality.

“This album carries many highs and lows and lessons I didn’t know I needed,” Mark explained. “Consider this my way of turning all my bad ideas into Pretty ones.”

The collection features the silky, disco-groove lead single “Let Me Love You,” and the breezy, reflective “Sweet Serotonin.” A standout moment is the collaboration “Don’t Remind Me,” a playful and soulful duet with GRAMMY-winning artist Anderson .Paak.

Mark uses her dynamic vocal range and cinematic storytelling to create immersive sonic worlds on tracks like “Cherry Reds,” an introspective memory float, and “Too Much,” which offers a clever nod to R&B classics of the past.

Pretty Idea is available to stream and download everywhere now.
