Emerging r&b stars BJ the Chicago Kid and Ro James have released a cover of Jodeci’s hit track “Come and Talk to Me” via SoundCloud today as a surprise gift for fans. The track was recorded and released in celebration of their recently announced joint tour “The R&B Tour”.
Ro James and BJ the Chicago Kid will be touring together throughout the month of May with stops including Bowery Ballroom in NYC and the Troubadour in Los Angeles. They will also be performing dates in Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL and more.
This tour will give fans the special opportunity to see each artist perform select songs from their past albums as well as new music from their respective upcoming projects. BJ The Chicago Kid is set to release new music from his forthcoming sophomore album on April 27th via Motown Records. The singer/songwriter has been staying quite busy since the release of his 2016 debut album, In My Mind collaborating with the likes of Common, Solange, A$AP M.O.B. and even the late great, Marvin Gaye.
In March 2018, Ro James released his new 4-track, Smoke EP. The EP is now available to purchase and stream at all digital service providers via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records. Smoke EP is the first of two EP installments, which will be released in anticipation for his sophomore album due out later this year. The second installment, entitled Mirrors EP is due out later this spring.
