Four-time Grammy winning singer, songwriter and producer Erykah Badu has just added another top 10 single to her already legendary career. It was just announced that her song “Phone Down” has become her 10th top 10 record on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs chart. The hit can be found on Badu’s critically acclaimed recently released mixtape “But You Caint Use My Phone”.
The mixtape released by Badu was the first full body of work she’s released in over five years.She has kept herself quite busy lately. It was recently announced that Badu will be the music supervisor of Comedy Central’s newest nominated series “Legends of Chamberlain Heights.” Badu will compose original music for the series, which is set to premiere on September 14th. Erykah Badu can also be seen in the film “The Land” which is executive produced by Nas. Badu also teamed up for Nas for the movie’s theme song, “The Bitter Land.”
