Last night in NYC, Alex Boyd performed a headlining set at SOBS. Coming off of the momentum he built performing at the Essence Music Festival earlier this year, it was good to see him performing some of the material we can expect to hear on his debut album. Included in his set was his current hit “I Wish I Knew” which he also mentioned was currently performing well at radio. He got emotional at the end of his set while speaking about how thankful he was to be at RCA and they still stuck with him even after the merge. The show was opened by Kentrell, a new signing to the RCA records family who presented his young flavor of r&b. Ashton Parson followed with a set packed with his soulful/rock selections.
