Last night, Epic Records/Vested in Culture held a press meet and greet for one of their newest signings, Kat Dahlia. In addition to media and tastemakers, Vested in Culture label head Sylvia Rhone was also on hand to greet everyone and present the first artist she’s expected to release on the label. We got a chance to meet Kat, and were instantly drawn to her infectious personality. She told us about the mix of influences she has (everyone from Led Zeppelin to Rihanna) and diverse sound she’s developing which we’ll hear on the follow up single to “Gangsta”. It was also obvious how excited she is about her debut “My Garden” which she’s currently hard at work on.
