We were invited to come out and cover the release party for a new artist named Mack, hosted by Salaam Remi who recently signed him to Sony. To our surprise when he came out, Mack was actually Tristan Wilds, the actor/singer who’s now rebranding himself. Salaam talked about how the production would give you that summer NYC street feel, and we’re definitely getting that from the first single, which also happens to be penned by Ne-Yo. His debut album, fittingly titled “New York: A Love Story” will be released this fall and feature collaborations from fellow Staten Island natives Raekwon and Method Man.
