Full Bio:
Singer-songwriter The ELLE isn’t quite your average sweet-sounding songstress. At the age of 8, she began using various forms of creative writing as an emotional outlet. The talent for writing mixed with an obsession with music and a mellifluous mezzo soprano voice eventually led her to pursue creating and writing music in the summer of 2011. Although she grew up a 90s kid consuming r&b, neo-soul and hip hop, she is largely inspired by classic soul musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Minnie Riperton, Marvin Gaye and Teena Marie. Dedicated to authenticity and thought-provoking lyricism, her unique and creative spin on songwriting aids in transcending her music beyond the confines of contemporary r&b/soul music. She has been performing regularly in Chicago since 2014 and released her first EP “5 AM” in March 2015.
