The singer delves into some of his deepest funk grooves with the new electro-soul track, ‘Hold Up’. This is the return record for the Brisbane R&B artist, who has spent the past several years writing, producing & touring with fellow artists from Australia & New Zealand.
Laced with rich harmony, talkbox, infectious grooves & a fleeting ambient-trap breakdown, ‘Hold Up’, highlights Maximo’s influences of funk, hip hop, neo-soul & modern R&B. Maximo has recently returned from Los Angeles where he was co-ordinating this release and working alongside artists & producers, both from LA & other parts of the globe.
As a songwriter & producer, Maximo works closely with artists to create quality releases and recordings, writing & producing songs in a range of genres from his studio in Brisbane. His experience within the music industry is diverse and also includes film score composition, audio engineering, lecturing & musical mentoring.
