Last night at BB King’s in NYC, Carl Thomas made his return to NYC with a performance at B.B. King’s in Times Square. He took the audience on a journey through his musical history, including hits like “Emotional”, “Summer Rain” and “I Wish”, and album cut favorites like “Supastar”, “The Baby Maker” and “Come to Me”. He also did a few unique cover songs including Sting’s “Message in a Bottle”. One thing is for sure, vocally he is still a beast and sounding better than ever. The show was opened by Suzy Q., an up and coming artist from Jersey City who we’ve covered before and who has an astonishing voice. She especially gave great a great performance of her cover of Minnie Ripperton’s “Lovin You” and Chaka Khan’s “I Know You, I Live You”. Check out photos from the event below.
