Prolific producer Salaam Remi has logged studio time with the likes of Nas, Amy Winehouse and the Fugees but now he’s taking the solo route with his first full-length LP One: In The Chamber. For his debut, Remi switches up his regimen by experimenting with orchestras that were birthed while crafting his instrumental project Prague Nosis.
While the Grammy-nominated beatsmith utilizes his A-list portfolio and taps popular artists such as Akon, Ne-Yo, Stephen Marley, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jordin Sparks, Estelle, CJ Hilton, Liam Bailey and Lemar for vocal duty, Remi says there’s no plot for global domination etched in the record. “I don’t think there is anything I have to prove. It’s just more or less about enjoying music,” he tells VIBE. “If I can continue to put out music that allows people to feel the same way I feel…just transmitting that emotion, that’s great.” via Vibe
