While we are on the subject of Kiley Dean, here is a personal favorite of mine from her shelved debut album “Simple Girl.” Many people (including me at first) may not have taken her seriously because her image didn’t fit the bill of a talented adult contemporary r&b singer, but trust me she has talent. This song gives me a vibe that I would get from listening to Brandy, and it was produced by Timbaland around the time he was working on Brandy’s “Afrodisiac” album, so it makes sense.
One of my favorite singers. Her voice is so beautiful, soulful and sensual. Sometimes she reminds me of Brandy or a late Aaliyah. That magic between her and Timbaland was amazing. I agree with you and her image – many people may not have taken her seriously, but she is pure gold mine. ''Kiss Me (Like That)'' is one of my faves from her, together with ''Escape'', ''My Own'', ''No'', ''Keep It Moving'', ''Busy'' and ''Confused''. ''Simple Girl'' and ''Afrodisiac'' are maybe my favorite albums of the last decade. B.
