In support of her recently released holiday album “Christmas With Friends”, soul singer India Arie has announced a tour in support of the project that will kick off December 13th in Boston. Dates are also set for stops in New York City, Nashville, and more, and featured special guest Jonathan McReynolds opening on most dates.

“Christmas with Friends” is the first ever holiday release from India Arie and features guest appearances from Brandy, Kem and more. She will continue the promotion of the project with a performance during the Hollywood Christmas Parade, airing on December 11. Next, she’ll stop by Steve Harvey’s show the week of December 14th, and appear on an episode of Tavis Smiley” on PBS that will air sometime in December.

The new album is a collaboration with Jazz legend Joe Sample that the pair began recording in 2014 but were unable to complete due to Sample’s passing that year. Included on the project are India’s covers of holiday favorites such as “The Christmas Song”, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Silent Night”.
