Last night at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in NYC, Epic Records held a showcase for their latest signee Leah LaBelle. The event was hosted by Pharrell and Jermaine Dupri, who are jointly working on her debut project, as well as L.A. Reid who is currently the CEO of Epic. Pharrell and Jermaine gushed about Leah as they detailed her discovery, working with her, and why she’s the next big thing. During her set, Leah performed new music from her upcoming debut album and thrilled the crowd which was made up of media, tastemakers and various members of the industry. Some of the songs performed included “So Hot”, “Mr. Scissors” and her current single “Sexify”, all of which you can hear on her album sampler. Judging by her performance, the crowd’s reaction, and who she has backing her, Leah LaBelle has a very bright future.
