Maxwell and Mary J. Blige have announced that they will tour together for the first time ever on the co-headlining “The King and Queen of Hearts” World Tour playing. The tour will span 24 dates across the United States following their string of appearances across Europe in October. Emerging rnb star Ro James is set to join the tour as an opening act on select dates.
Maxwell released his latest album “blackSUMMERS’night” July 1st and it is the second installment of his promised musical trilogy.
He stated of the upcoming tour, “Mary is the epitome of soul. She embodies all that is woman and speaks for the everyday struggle and triumphs of all women. I can’t wait to get on the road with her.”
Mary J. Blige had the following to include, “Maxwell’s music is amazingly soulful and calm with a colorful tone that speaks to the hearts of women. His music makes them feel loved and I’m excited to get on the road with him.”
Artist VIP Packages are available starting today, September 7th. General public on sales start Friday, September 9th at 10am local time. Every online ticket order will include a copy of Maxwell’s latest album ‘blackSUMMERS’night’ and Mary J. Blige’s forthcoming album. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from every ticket will be donated to Artists for Peace and Justice.
