Jhene Aiko shocked the music world when she released the song “Maniac” late last year as it showcased a more raunchy side of her, but it looks like she’s back on track with the new single “When We’re Young”. The mellow and soulful vibe of the song fits into what we’ve come to expect from Jhene who has become one of the premiere artists in R&B today.
With the release of the song, it’s safe to assume that a follow up to her debut album “Souled Out” will be coming relatively soon. Along with the new music song comes a video that pays homage to the movie “50 First Dates”
Along with her solo endeavors, Jhene partnered up with Big Sean last year for the Twenty88 project. The album ended up hitting number 5 on the Billboard 200 charts.
