Trey Songz Trigga Reloaded

Songbook Entertainment/Atlantic international recording superstar Trey Songz has announced today’s release of his new album, “TRIGGA RELOADED.” The collection – a revised edition of 2014’s blockbuster, “TRIGGA” – is available now in stores and at all online retailers http://smarturl.it/TRIGGARELOADED.

“Slow Motion,” the RIAA gold certified, sultry first single from “TRIGGA RELOADED,” has proven a multi-format favorite, with major play at Urban Mainstream, Rhythm, and Mixshow Radio. In addition, the “Slow Motion” official companion video – directed by Dre Films – is a YouTube phenomenon, with total views now in excess of 50 million.

“About You” soon followed, accompanied by a unique fan campaign in which users were able to re-create the single’s original artwork to include their own personal selfies. The campaign received attention from an array of fans, including 12.6 million followers on Instagram and Twitter combined, as well as editors at Complex, Vibe, and Buzzfeed.

Trey surprised fans this spring with the release of “INTERMISSION I & II,” the extended version of his “INTERMISSION” mixtape, and the exclusive documentary, “TRIGGA RELOADED: THE INTERMISSION.” The LP quickly hit #1 on the iTunes Store’s “Top R&B/Soul Albums” chart; in addition, “INTERMISSION I & II” earned widespread acclaim, with Pitchfork noting the mixtape “does what Trey does best: provide a no-skips-required sex playlist, or at least an escapist fantasy for zoning out at your desk. The satiny synths, leisurely finger-snap percussion, and evocative bass rumbles, all providing a cushion for Trey’s velvety tenor, are the aural equivalent of scattered rose petals and lit candles.”

Trey will celebrate “TRIGGA RELOADED” with an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show today, along with a number of high profile live dates slated throughout the summer. Highlights include his sixth consecutive annual appearance at the 2015 Essence Festival™ Presented By Coca-Cola®, kicking off this year’s festivities by co-headlining the Essence “Now Playing” Concert Sponsored By Verizon alongside the one and only Kevin Hart, set for July 2nd at New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Trey is also on the star-studded line-up performing at the Daytime Village at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival, slated for Saturday, September 19th at the MGM Resorts Village across from the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Named “Best R&B/Soul Male Artist” at the Soul Train Awards 2014, Trey has spent much of the past year on the road, including sold out tours of the US and Europe alongside such like-minded artists as Nickl Minaj, Chris Brown, and Tyga; an historic headline concert celebrating Namibia’s 25th Independence Day at Windhoek’s Independence Stadium; and a string of major festival appearances including Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2015. As if that weren’t enough, Trey was among the top entertainers, professional athletes, and business leaders inducted into the Boys & Girls Clubs Of America’s 25th Annual Alumni Hall Of Fame.

Furthermore, Trey has teamed with Jennifer Lopez for “What You Mean To Me,” featured on the recently released “FINDING NEVERLAND: THE ALBUM,” a collection of songs from the hit Broadway musical performed by today’s top pop superstars.

Trey made an awesome chart debut with last year’s acclaimed album, “TRIGGA.” The collection – which includes the hit singles “Touchin, Lovin (Feat. Nicki Minaj),” “What’s Best For You” and the RIAA gold certified “Na Na” – entered the SoundScan/Billboard 200 at #1, with sales in excess of 105,000. In addition, “TRIGGA” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” ranking. Trey’s sixth studio collection, “TRIGGA” followed 2012’s blockbuster “CHAPTER V,” which debuted at #1 on both the SoundScan/Billboard 200 and Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” charts, fueled by such hit singles as “Heart Attack” and “Simply Amazing.”

“TRIGGA” received a wide range of critical applause upon its arrival, with SPIN hailing it as “a sublime, soulful convergence of the sonic minimalism and oil-slicked synths of today’s hip-hop and R&B,” adding, “a 20-track album (!) never felt so breezy.” “TRIGGA” “shows (Trey’s) hitmaking abilities are at veterans levels at this point,” noted XXL, while in the UK, The Guardian praised the album for having “a seductive power that (one presumes) is befitting of the man himself.” “Trey Songz has been one of the last decade’s most dependable hit record-making artists,” declared Hip Hop DX. “In hearkening back to his roots, he showcases his desire to not slow down for 10 more years. Wild, yet well-delivered songs showcase Songz as a master of a now lyrically unrestrained mainstream R&B standard.”
