Multi-platinum Grammy nominated artist TYRESE GIBSON has teamed with Complex for the premiere of his new video, “Dumb Sh*t,” featuring Snoop Dogg and a cameo by Wiz Khalifa. The clip was directed by Matt Alonzo and produced by Voltron Recordz & Happy Place Tara Razavi and can be viewed HERE.
“The #DumbShit video is a throwback to the classic Hype Williams era and black and white videos like ‘Flava In Ya Ear’ remix, Q-Tip’s ‘Vibrant Thing,’ or Snoop’s ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot,’” says Gibson. “Matt Alonzo and I had a ball making it. It’s spring and as we warm up, I wanted to drop this dumb shit to get some energy going. This song ain’t for saints, it’s for real people who have made mistakes in relationships and did some dumb shit. ”
“Dumb Sh*t” is the first track released from Gibson’s upcoming album, BLACK ROSE, out July 7 through his own label, Voltron Recordz. Gibson will next be seen in Universal Pictures FURIOUS 7, for which he is reprising his role as Roman Pierce, out April 3, 2015. Recently, Universal Pictures acquired the action spec DESERT EAGLE, penned by actor/musician Tyrese Gibson and Mike Le, and have hired Matthew Stuecken and Josh Campbell to rewrite the script. DESERT EAGLE tells the story of a pair of border patrol agents who investigate a drug cartel being operated out of a Native American reservation casino.
Gibson was last seen in the 2013 box office summer blockbuster FAST 6 which has earned more than $700 million worldwide.
