The nominees for the 2018 Grammy Awards have been announced today, and as usual there is much intrigue around the R&B Categories for us lovers of the genre.
This year isn’t much different than the past few years, in that we remain at just five categories for the entire r&b genre. Similarly, major label artists snatch up the bulk of the nominations, but we get to celebrate those indie artists who broke through and are recognized.

Won’t lie, I think Bruno Mars might sweep the singles categories this year, but Daniel Caesar will be serious competition in the R&B Album category..Out of the nominees for the contemporary album category, would be good to see SZA win it, but something tells me Khalid will clinch it.
If you read the Best Album category on Billboard, you know that Bruno Mars will win R&B Album of the Year and Childish Gambino will win Urban Contemporary,
