Rising singer, songwriter, musician and Philadelphia native JULIAN KING announces the release of his debut EP SING FOR YOU. Beginning July 17 fans can download the 7-track EP Sing For You for free via Julian King’s SoundCloud page.
Sing For You boasts the popular “No Strings,” a record that is about keeping a relationship light, fun, and without any strings attached. The song has amassed over 46,000 streams on SoundCloud. “No Strings” was produced by B.A.M. (Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo) and written by Julian King and The TRND, a production duo consisting of GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Kristal “Tytewriter” Oliver (P. Diddy, Danity Kane) and Kristofer “César” Murray (Chrisette Michelle, TGT).
Julian King is credited with co-writing all 7 tracks on his debut EP. Along with B.A.M., he collaborated with top producers including Bryan-Michael Cox (Mariah Carey, Usher, Mary J. Blige) for “No Love” and Ivan ‘Orthodox’ Barias (Justin Timberlake, Musiq Soulchild, Miguel) for “Mine.”
Sing For You also features Julian King’s newest single “Unforgettable,” a song he recently performed live for Sol Village. The monthly showcase is hosted by Eric Roberson at the legendary SOB’s in New York City and features the best up & coming talent in R&B. Over its 10+ years, the series has showcased artists such as John Legend, Erykah Badu and more recently Luke James and Emily King.
Julian King has been called “one of the most-talented indie acts on the Philadelphia scene right now” by Philly 360. An authentic musician, he honed his skills at the prestigious Philadelphia High School for The Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), home to notable alums which include Boyz II Men, Black Thought & Questlove of The Roots and Jazmine Sullivan. Julian King also earned a degree in Vocal Performance from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts.
Not only an incredible vocalist, dancer, and top of the line musician (Keys/Drums/Bass), Julian King is a talented songwriter who hooked up with The TRND and is now a part of their production house Twenty20 Entertainment. The breakout artist also caught the eyes and ears of artist managers Jerome Hipps and Mike McArthur who have since signed him on to be an artist under their management Mama’s Boys Entertainment Group. The powerhouse duo has a partnership with entertainment mogul Kevin Liles of KWL Enterprises.
