We’re rapidly approaching the end of 2015, so that means it’s time to name the Top 100 RnB Songs of year once again! Just like we did in 2014, we’ve counted down the top r&b songs of the year over the past 10 days, going down from 100 to 1. The list was compiled by the YouKnowIGotSoul team along with Edd Bowser (of Soul in Stereo) and Barry Barz (of Up Close and RnB) for all songs released between December 1st, 2014 and November 30th, 2015.

Although it was a challenge to find the best 100 songs this year, we listened to just about every r&b song that came out this year, from major label artists, to independent artists, to unknown artists. The result was the most comprehensive list of the best songs this year you’ll find anywhere. After narrowing it down to a few hundred songs, the team debated it out to find only the best of the best which make up our top 100. 100) Brian McKnight – Uh Oh Feeling

Brian McKnight released his new single “Uh Oh Feeling” this year, the first song from his upcoming album “Better” set to drop in January 2016.

99) Tank – You Don’t Know featuring Wale

Tank released “You Don’t Know” featuring Wale as the first single from his upcoming album “SLP2”.

98) Bradd Marquis – Free

Bradd Marquis released “Free” earlier this year as the third single from his album “Thank You”.

97) Justine Skye – Don’t Worry

Justine Skye released her EP “Emotionally Unavailable” in 2015, and “Don’t Worry” was one of the standout songs on the project.

96) Sevyn Streeter – Shoulda Been There featuring B.O.B.

Sevyn Streeter released her latest EP “Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1” during 2015, and a standout song was the title track.

95) Angie Stone – Magnet

Angie Stone released her latest album “Dream” earlier this year, and “Magnet” was one of the standout album tracks.

94) Jill Scott – You Don’t Know

Jill Scott released her latest album “Woman” during 2015, and “You Don’t Know” was the first taste of the project.

93) Elijah Blake – Pinot

Elijah Blake released his debut album “Shadows & Diamonds” during 2015, and “Pinot” was one of the standout album cuts.

92) Tyrese – I Still Do

Tyrese released his latest and final album “Black Rose” in 2015, and “I Still Do” was one of the standout album tracks.

91) Jazmine Sullivan – Silver Lining

Jazmine Sullivan released her album “Reality Show” in early 2015. “Silver Lining” was one of the standout album tracks on the album.

90) Raheem DeVaughn – When You Love Somebody

Raheem DeVaughn released his latest album “Love Sex Passion” in 2015, and “When You Love Somebody” was one of the standout album tracks.

89) Hi-Five – Different Kiss

R&B group Hi-Five made their return in 2015 and released their new EP lead by the single “Different Kiss”.

88) Tamar Braxton – Must Be Good to You

Tamar Braxton released her album “Calling all Lovers” during 2015 and “Must Be Good to You” was one of the album’s standout songs.

87) SWV – Aint No Man

SWV is gearing up for the release of their new album “Still” in early 2016, and they put out the first single “Aint No Man” this year.

86) Purple WondaLuv aka Musiq Soulchild – You Can Change

Musiq Soulchild released the debut project from his personna project Purple WondaLuv called “Eternal Peace” EP. “You Can Change” was a standout from the EP.

85) Rico Love – Days Go By

Singer/songwriter/producer Rico Love released his debut album “TTLO” during 2015, and one of the singles was “Days Go By”.

84) Janelle Monae – Yoga

During 2015, Janelle Monae released the single “Yoga” which was included on her collective project “Wondaland Presents: The Eephus” (EP).

83) Rico Love – Amsterdam

Another noteable song on Rico Love’s debut album “TTLO” was “Amsterdam”.

82) John Michael – The Corner

Rnb singer John Michael released his sophomore album “Like a Drug” in 2015, and one of the standout album cuts was the song “The Corner”.

81) Kenny Lattimore – Love Me Back

Kenny Lattimore released his latest album “Anatomy of a Love Song” during 2015, and “Love Me Back” was one of the singles from the project.

80) LeToya Luckett – Don’t Make Me Wait featuring T.I.

LeToya Luckett released the new single “Don’t Make Me Wait” during 2015. Although she didn’t give us an album, her new one is expected in 2016.

79) Lion Babe – Jungle Lady

Emerging duo Lion Babe released their debut self titled EP in late 2014, and “Jungle Lady” was one of the first singles they released from it.

78) Case – Think About Us

Case released his latest album “Heaven’s Door” during 2015 and “Think About Us” was one of the standout songs on the album.

77) Louis York – Good Drinks, Dumb Jokes

The duo of writer Claude Kelly and producer Chuck Harmoney, aka Louis York, released their first project “Masterpiece Theater – Act 1” EP during 2015. A highlight of the project was the single “Good Drinks, Dumb Jokes”.

76) Lion Babe – Wonder Woman featuring Pharrell

Lion Babe makes their second entry into our countdown with the Pharrell assisted “Wonder Woman”. The song was released as a single during 2015.

75) Janet Jackson – Dream Maker

Janet Jackson released her return album “Unbreakable” during 2015, and “Dream Maker” was one of the standout songs on the project.

74) Lyfe Jennings – Hashtag

Lyfe Jennings released his latest album “Tree of Lyfe” this year and “Hashtag” was one of the standout album tracks.

73) Julian King – No Strings

Emerging Philly singer Julian King released his debut EP “Sing for You” in 2015, and “No Strings” was the first single.

72) Case – Shook Up

Case released his album “Heavens Door” in 2015 and “Shook Up” was the lead single.

71) Raheem DeVaughn – Temperature’s Rising

Another standout from Raheem DeVaughn’s “Love Sex Passion” album was “Temperature’s Rising”.

70) R. Kelly – Wake Up Everybody

R. Kelly released his latest album “The Buffet” in 2015, and one of the first singles was “Wake Up Everybody”.

69) Netta Brielle – I Just Wanna Be Loved

Atlantic Records recording artist Netta Brielle released her digital album “580” in 2015 and “I Just Wanna Be Loved” lead the project.

68) Janet Jackson – Damn Baby

Another standout from Janet Jackson’s return album “Unbreakable” in 2015 was the song “Damn Baby”.

67) Chris Brown – Back to Sleep

Tamar Braxton released her latest album “Calling All Lovers” during 2015, and “Circles” was one of the standout songs.

65) Tinashe – Wanderer

“Wanderer” is a song included on Tinashe’s mixtape “Amethyst” which she released as a treat for fans following her debut album “Aquarius”.

64) Tink – H20

Tink released her “Winter’s Diary 3” mixtape during 2015, and “H20” was one of the standout songs.

63) Teyana Taylor – Your Wish

Teyana Taylor released her 90’s flavored mixtape “The Cassette Tape 1994” during 2015, and “Your Wish” was a standout song from the project.

62) Babyface – We’ve Got Love

Babyface released his latest album “Return of the Tender Lover” during 2015, and the first single “We’ve Got Love” was a real highlight.

61) Teedra Moses – Only U

Teedra Moses released her long awaited sophomore album “Cognac & Conversation” in 2015, and “Only U” was one of the standout album cuts.

60) Vivian Green – The One That Got Away

Vivian Green released her latest album “Vivid” in 2015, and a real standout was the album cut “The One That Got Away” produced by Kwame.

59) Jill Scott – Fools Gold

Jill Scott released her latest album “Woman” during 2015, and “Fools Gold” was the lead single.

58) Sevyn Streeter – Love in Competition

Sevyn Streeter released her latest EP “Shoulda Been Here, Pt 1” during 2015, and “Love in Competition” was a standout song.

Emerging rnb artist Julian King checks in for the second time on the countdown with his single “Unforgettable” from his debut EP “Sing for You”.

54) Alessia Cara – Here

Def Jam recording artist and 2015 breakout star Alessa Cara released her debut single “Here” this year.

53) Omarion – Deeper

Omarion released his latest album “Sex Playlist” in late 2014, and “Deeper” was one of the standout songs.

52) Charlie Wilson – Things You Do

Charlie Wilson released his latest album “Forever Charlie” earlier this year, and “Things You Do” was a real standout.

JMSN released his “Blue Album” in late 2014 and “Addicted” was the lead single.

48) John Michael – Fill Your Glass

John Michael checks in for a 2nd time on the countdown with “Fill Your Glass”.

47) Kyndall – Still Down

Atlantic Records recording artist Kyndall released her debut EP “Still Down” in 2015 and the title track was a standout.

46) Jodeci – Every Momemnt

Jodeci released their comeback album “The Past, The Present, The Future” in 2015 and “Every Moment” was the standout song.

45) Adrian Marcel – Timeless (Reloaded Version)

Adrian Marcel released a new version of his single “Timeless” on his “Weak After Next” (Reloaded Edition) in 2015.

44) Jill Scott – Can’t Wait

Jill Scott comes in on the countdown once again with her song “Can’t Wait” from her album “Woman”.

43) Ro James – Permission

After signing with RCA Records in 2015, soulful singer Ro James released his single “Permission” from his upcoming project on the label.

42) Ciara – I Bet

Ciara released her latest album “Jackie” during 2015, and “I Bet” was the lead single.

41) Angie Stone – 2 Bad Habits

Angie Stone comes back into the countdown for a 2nd time, and it’s “2 Bad Habits”, which was the first single on her album “Dream”.

40) Case – Timeless

Case checks into the countdown for a fourth time, with another song off of his 2015 album “Heavens Door”, this time with “Timeless”.

39) Snoop Dogg “Peaches N Cream” featuring Charlie Wilson

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg went into full r&b mode, singing his way through his latest album “Bush”. His song “Peaches N Cream” with Charlie Wilson was a standout track.

38) Justin Skye – I’m Yours featuring Vic Mensa

Justine Skye comes in once again on the countdown with another song from her “Emotionally Unavailable” EP. This time it’s the song “I’m Yours”.

37) Jazmine Sullivan – Brand New

Jazmine Sullivan released her impressive new album “Reality Show” during 2015, and “Brand New” was another of the standout songs on the project.

36) Lipstick Gypsy – Infatuation

New soul duo and Epic Records artist Lipstick Gypsy came out of nowhere in 2015 with their impactful single “Infatuation”.

35) Tyrese – Leave

Tyrese made a huge statement for rnb with the release of his last album “Black Rose” in 2015. “Leave” was one of the standout album cuts.

34) Kehlani – Down for You featuring BJ the Chicago Kid

Kehlani released her project “You Should Be Here” which earned her a Grammy nomination, and a standout was the song “Down for You” featuring BJ the Chicago Kid.

33) Raheem DeVaughn – All I Know

Raheem DeVaughn checks in once again on the countdown, this time with his song “All I Know” from his 2015 album “Sex Love Passion”.

32) Miguel – Waves

Miguel releases his latest album “Wildheart” in 2015, and “Waves” was a standout song.

31) Ne-Yo – Religious

Ne-Yo checks in on the countdown with “Religious”, one of the standout songs from his 2015 album “Non-Fiction”.

30) Ne-Yo – One More featuring T.I.

Back to back songs for Ne-Yo, this time with “One More” featuring T.I., another great album track on his “Non Fiction” album.

29) Monifah – One Moment

We didn’t get a new album from Monifah in 2015, but we did get her great new single “One Moment”.

28) Keke Wyatt – Sexy Song

As she prepares for her new album in 2016, Keke Wyatt released the new single “Sexy Song” in 2015.

27) Erykah Badu – Hello

Erykah Badu released her mixtape “But You Caint Use My Phone” in 2015, and her cover of “Hello” was a standout.

26) Tamia – Lipstick

Tamia checks in on the countdown once again with another album cut from her album “Love Life”, this time with “Lipstick”.

25) Lyfe Jennings – Pretty Is

Lyfe Jennings made his return in 2015 with the new album “Tree of Lyfe, and the first single “Pretty Is” was a real standout.

Another standout from Miguel’s “Wildheart” album released in 2015 was “NWA”.

23) Ne-Yo – Make it Easy

We come back to Ne-Yo’s album “Non-Fiction” yet another time, this time to highlight the album track “Make it Easy” produced by DJ Camper.

22) Mack Wilds – Love in the 90z

Mack Wildz released the impactful single “Love in the 90z” in 2015, assisted on production by the legendary group of Salaam Remi, Teddy Riley, Scott Storch and James Poyser.

21) Sevyn Streeter – Don’t Kill the Fun featuring Chris Brown

Sevyn Streeter checks in on our countdown once again, this time with the Chris Brown assisted single “Don’t Kill the Fun” which was also featured on her “Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1” EP.

20) Tink – Million

Timbaland’s artist Tink released her Aaliyah flavored single “Million” during 2015, a song set to be included on her upcoming debut album.

19) Tyrese – Shame

Tyrese made a huge impact for rnb in 2015 with his final album “Black Rose” and his big single from the album was “Shame”.

18) Teedra Moses – Cognac & Conversation featuring Rick Ross

Yet another entry into our countdown from Teedra Moses, this time with the title track from her sophomore album “Cognac & Conversation” which features Rick Ross.

17) Estelle – Gotcha Love

Estelle checks into the countdown for the first time with “Gotcha Love”, a great album cut from her 2015 album “True Romance”.

Avant chose the great song “Special” as the lead single from his 8th studio album “The VIII” in 2015.

10) Monica – Just Right for Me featuring Lil Wayne

Monica made her return in 2015 and made a big statement for r&b with her latest album “Code Red”. The lead single on the album was “Just Right for Me”.

9) Snoop Dogg – California Roll featuring Pharrell & Stevie Wonder

Snoop Dogg released his latest album “Bush” which had a real rnb feel and even had the legendary rapper singing on most of it. A real standout was the Pharrell and Stevie Wonder assisted “California Roll”.

8) Tay Beckham – Excuses

Former The Voice contestent released her EP “Love Hard” in 2015, and “Excuses” was a real standout this year.

7) Jordin Sparks – They Don’t Give

Jordin Sparks returns to the countdown with her Babyface written single “They Don’t Give” from “Right Here, Right Now”.

6) Tamia – Special

Tamia released one of the best rnb albums in 2015 with “Love Life”, and “Special” was one of the best songs on the album.

5) Jazmine Sullivan – Let it Burn

Another standout from Jazmine Sullivan’s great album “Reality Show” in 2015 was “Let it Burn”.

4) Teedra Moses – That One featuring Anthony Hamilton

Teedra Moses released one of the best rnb albums of 2015 with “Cognac & Conversation”, and her duet “That One” with Anthony Hamilton was the best on the album.

3) Robin Thicke – Morning Sun

Robin Thicke returned to making good music in 2015 which was especially evident on the single “Morning Sun”.

2) Miguel – Coffee

Miguel checks in once again on our countdown with his great single “Coffee”, the first song released from his 2015 album “Wildheart”.

1) Jazmine Sullivan – Mascara

The top spot on our countdown and our r&b song of the year is “Mascara” by Jazmine Sullivan. She really stands out on the conceptual song from her latest album “Reality Show”.
